nyth property insights
Hi, Joe here. I am currently completing my ABBE Level 3 accreditation as a Domestic Energy Assessor and Retrofit Assessor, and I’m eager to play my part in helping the planet towards a better future, one house at a time.
I will be launching in early 2027 for the Pontypool, Cwmbran, Abergavenny, and wider South East Wales region.
I look forward to helping you make your nest (nyth) as energy efficient as possible. But in the meantime, sign up below for a free home energy scorecard, early-access pricing, and updates as my services go live in the coming year.
HOW CAN i HELP You?
services
No jargon, no upsell – just a straightforward look at what each service actually covers, so you know exactly what you’d be getting.

domestic energy assessment (EPC)
An accredited assessment of your home’s energy performance, resulting in your official Energy Performance Certificate. I’ll walk through your property, assess how it’s built, heated, and insulated, and give you a rating that’s both compliant and genuinely useful.
You get:
A certified EPC rating, plus a plain-English breakdown of what’s helping your score and what’s holding it back – not just a document, but something you can actually act on.
Good for:
Homeowners selling or renting, landlords meeting compliance requirements, or anyone who wants a clear, honest read on where their home stands.

Retrofit advice
A closer look than a standard EPC – this identifies which upgrades would genuinely make a difference to your home’s performance, and in what order, based on your specific property rather than a generic checklist.
You get:
A prioritised set of recommendations, with realistic guidance on impact and cost, so you know what’s actually worth doing first.
Good for:
Homeowners planning improvements, landlords upgrading a rental to meet minimum standards, or anyone who’s had energy advice before that felt vague or upsell-driven.

thermal & aerial inspections
Thermal imaging to diagnose issues invisible to the eye – heat loss, damp, insulation gaps – combined with drone-based aerial inspection for roofs, PV panels, and other hard-to-reach areas.
You get:
Thermal imagery and/or aerial footage with a clear report explaining what it shows and why it matters, without needing scaffolding or unsafe access.
Good for:
Homeowners with a specific concern (a cold room, a damp patch), landlords and property managers with portfolios to inspect, and solar installers or roofers needing diagnostic evidence.
